Free-to-use live TV and movie streaming app

Sky UK members can now view their favorite shows 24/7 with the Sky Go smartphone app. This multimedia application makes it easier for existing Sky TV customers to access live TV channels and on-demand shows from their mobile phones. They can also share their subscription with one other user so both of them can stream on various devices simultaneously. You can also stream movies and TV and watch them offline for an additional fee.

Can I watch Sky Go on my phone??

Similar to the Sky Go desktop app, the smartphone edition also depends on their subscription plan. You will watch over 100 live channels, including free-to-air favorites and famous Sky pay channels. You just need to open the app and search through its catalog to see each channel offering to start binge-watching. You can also tap the categories if you have a specific genre in mind. Other than live channels, the app also comes with a video-on-demand feature.

This will allow you to watch video content whenever you want. All Sky subscribers will automatically have Sky Go as part of their monthly package, so streaming using the app will be free of charge. In addition, you can share your account with another person at no additional cost. Through this, you can stream two computers at the same time. You can also download and stream any video online after you’ve signed up for the Sky Go Extra.

Streaming quality on the Sky Go smartphone app is better than on desktop — though still not in line with other streaming applications. While it promises smoother viewing, there are still a few issues with the app. For one thing, it lacks a landscape option, so you can only watch with a smaller screen. Other than that, some of the networks are hard to navigate. There's a TV guide feature, but navigation is still quite difficult.

Bring cable TV to your smartphone

Through the Sky Go smartphone app, Sky TV consumers can now enjoy their subscriptions wherever they are. The app helps you watch more than a hundred channels and also movies on request. More so, it helps you to stream your favorite show so that you can watch offline. It's far from flawless but it’s still an enjoyable app for all Sky UK users.

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
